Individual therapy
I look forward to working with you or your child to help develop skills to change negative thought patterns and work through emotions. It’s important to keep from ignoring our emotions. After all, much of what brings joy in life is from our emotions.
To help create change in your life, I will help you to work through some of your past experiences and develop ways to grow your awareness of your thoughts. Once we become aware of our thoughts and feelings, we can abandon negative thought patterns and move toward healthy thought patterns.
Family therapy
Sometimes change occurs when the whole family is working together toward a common goal. Often there is one person in the family who needs focused help, but the family also needs to work as a team to build one another up. Talking as a family team can help the system to fully function to its potential.
Sometimes this also means working with selected parts of the family, either adults or children. Often one parent and one child are seen together.
Telehealth therapy
Most insurance do allow for telehealth services. I offer the above services over a secure zoom connection which follows HIPAA regulations. Generally, coming to therapy in person is preferred over online therapy. There are subtle things that occur in an office which do not occur in person. However, sometimes the benefits of coming to therapy online outweigh coming in person. One example of a benefit for online therapy is not having to drive to and from the appointment.
